Fuji TV has announced that it is creating a new drama time slot in its programming schedule, Saturdays at 11:00pm. The first series to be broadcast is “LIAR GAME,” an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Shinobu Kaitani (serialized in Young Jump). Three volumes have been released so far, with approximately 300,000 copies sold.
Actress Erika Toda will play her first lead role as Nao Kanzaki, a college student who becomes involved in a mysterious game, but she receives help from an expert swindler named Shinichi Akiyama. The series begins on April 14.
