Nezumi Senpai leaving show business
Nezumi Senpai (36) is calling it quits. The singer held a press conference on Wednesday, declaring his intention to retire from show business at the end of this year.
“I’ve realized that the world of show business is even tougher than I thought,” he explained. Nezumi Senpai made his debut last year with the hit song “GIROPPON,” but he was disappointingly unable to repeat that success. “People often say I’m a one-hit wonder, but I personally also feel that way.”
He still has another single, “Okane,” being released on June 17, followed by a farewell concert on June 21. Just this past April, he also
formed a band called
The Super Rats.
Before his singing debut, he went through more than ten different jobs, including an AV actor and director. However, he said that he has no plans to return to that industry, as he is now the father of a 2-year-old daughter. Instead, he hopes to find work through a national job placement agency.
