NHK morning lineup to change, Asadora to move

Starting next spring, broadcaster NHK plans to adjust its morning television lineup. “Seikatsu Hot Morning” (8:35-9:25am) will come to an end, replaced by a bigger program that will cover topics such as society, politics, and entertainment.

“Seikatsu Hot Morning” has been on the air since April 1995. The new show will end the 15-year run and expand the time slot to 8:15-9:55am, a total of an hour and 40 minutes in length.

The time slot change will affect the schedule of other NHK shows as well. In particular, the Asadora time slot is shifting earlier from 8:15-8:30am to 8:00-8:15am. The last time the Asadora time slot was changed was 48 years ago.
