A press event for the “Aibou” spinoff movie “Kanshiki: Yonezawa Mamoru no Jikenbo” was held on Friday. During the event, it was unsurprisingly announced that the popular detective drama will see its 7th season start this October, running for its usual length of 6 months. As always, TV Asahi has scheduled the show for its Wednesday 9:00pm time slot.
The first “Aibou” movie earned 4.42 billion yen during the first half of this year. The spinoff is set to open in theaters next spring.
