NTV’s “24 Hour Television” raised 950 million yen

NTV has announced that this year’s “24 Hour Television” telethon (August 29-30) raised a total of more than 951 million yen. This is the 11th largest sum in the program’s 32-year history.

This year’s charity T-shirts were designed by animation studio Pixar. More than 400,000 of the shirts were sold, making it the 3rd most successful design in the history of the telethon.

Since it started in 1978, “24 Hour Television” has raised more than 28.1 billion yen.
