“Ohisama” surpasses “Gegege no Nyoubou”

NHK’s morning drama “Ohisama,” starring Inoue Mao, ended on October 1st. The final episode achieved ratings of 21.6% in the Kanto region and 19.3% in the Kansai region.

Overall, the series averaged 18.8% (Kanto) and 16.5% (Kansai). In the Kanto region, that figure was 1.6 percentage points higher than the previous morning drama “Teppan.” It was also 0.2 points higher than last year’s hit “Gegege no Nyoubou.”

Meanwhile, NHK’s new morning series “Carnation” premiered on October 3rd, and the first episode got 16.1% ratings in the Kanto area, and 16.2% in the Kansai area. In comparison, “Ohisama” started at 18.4% and 15.6% respectively.
