Oricon has launched two new online projects. The first is Ranking News, a sub-site devoted to all of Oricon’s rankings. The move offers an increased amount of statistics and topics, while also centralizing all of Oricon’s ranking data.
Oricon’s other project is the “oricon TOP 20″ video show. Each Friday, a new show will be published, presenting the weekly singles chart accompanied by clips from the songs’ music videos. The shows also include news about the weekly album charts, popular artists, and current trends. Each program lasts roughly 10 minutes long. The videos are available through Yahoo! Japan’s streaming video site, but access is limited only to Japan and requires Internet Explorer on Windows systems.
