Pacific Music Festival opens in Sapporo

The Pacific Music Festival (PMF) opened today in Sapporo. Founded in 1990 by the acclaimed composer/conductor Leonard Bernstein, the PMF is an international educational music festival. Young musicians from around the world audition to enter the PMF Academy, which consists of a four-week curriculum.

The festival, which runs until August 3, includes many concerts and performances which are open to the public. More information about tickets or the festival itself can be found at the PMF website.
