Punkbooboo finds, loses love

Comedy duo Punkbooboo, winners of the M-1 Grand Prix this past December, discussed their love lives during a taping of the TV Asahi show “Maesetsu King.” Member Jun Kurose (34) revealed that he is currently in a relationship, while his partner Tetsuo Sato (33) talked about the end of a long romance.

Kurose said that he has been dating his girlfriend for two years now, and they are presently living together. Sato, on the other hand, declared that he is single. Reflecting on his past relationships, he said that he had dated a woman for nine years, but she left him for a temple priest.

Kurose and Sato formed their Punkbooboo act in 2001. Last year was the first time they made the final round of the M-1 Grand Prix, but they won it in convincing fashion, receiving a unanimous vote from the seven judges.
