“Quiz Zatsugaku Ou” moving to golden time

TV Asahi has announced that its popular trivia show, “Quiz Zatsugaku Ou,” will be moving to a “golden time” programming slot at the start of next year.

Hosted by comedy duo Bakusho Mondai, the show began as a special program that first aired in January of this year. A 3-hour special was broadcast in September and achieved 22.4% ratings, leading the network to add the show to its regular lineup.

In October, TV Asahi began running it in the Wednesday 11:15pm time slot, where it has averaged 11.9% ratings. With that impressive performance, the network quickly decided to move it to the Wednesday 8:00pm time slot, starting on January 9.

The late Wednesday time slot has previously been a launching pad for other variety shows, but “Quiz Zatsugaku Ou” is the first to be promoted after only three months.
