Actress Rosa Kato (24) will star in a WOWOW drama special called “Perfect Blue.” The drama is based on a novel by prize-winning author Miyuki Miyabe, not to be confused with the Yoshikazu Takeuchi novel that was turned into Satoshi Kon’s animated film “Perfect Blue.”
Miyabe’s “Perfect Blue” novel was her first full-length work, written in 1989. It revolves around a female sleuth (Kato) trying to solve the mystery behind a high school baseball player’s death. Aoi Nakamura (18) and Shin Takuma (53) play other characters in the story.
