Ryuta Sato stars in “Massugu na Otoko”

Actor Ryuta Sato (29) will play the lead role in a new drama series next season, called “Massugu na Otoko.” The “ROOKIES” star, who recently became a father, will be joined by actress Kyoko Fukada (27) in this heartwarming comedy.

Sato plays Kenichiro Matsushima, an honest, 30-year-old bachelor working for a construction firm, who grows as a person through the unpredictable trials that he faces. One of those trials is the show’s heroine Narumi Kurita (played by Fukada), a devilish and audacious part-timer who suddenly enters his life. It is said there is a possibility that her character will become pregnant during the story.

Shihori Kanjiya (23) has been cast as a woman who falls for Kenichiro, while D-BOYS leader Yuya Endo (22) plays one of Kenichiro’s juniors. Nozomi Sasaki (21) plays an aspiring actress who lives with Narumi. Other cast members include Takashi Ukaji (47), Saori Takizawa (28), Sakura (26), Rieko Miura (36), Atsuro Watabe (41), and AAA’s Misako Uno (23).

Fuji TV will broadcast the drama on Tuesday nights at 10:00pm, starting January 12.
