Saburo Tokito to release new single, image song for ‘Hanayome to Papa’

Actor/singer Saburo Tokito has announced his first single in ten years, which will be used as an image song in his upcoming drama series, “Hanayome to Papa” (Fuji TV, Tuesdays 9:00pm).

Tokito last released a single in 1997. Since then, he has made two albums, in 2004 and 2006. The most recent one was titled “Kimi no Kaeru Basho,” and Tokito has recorded a new version of the title track from that album. The CD is scheduled for release in June.

In “Hanayome to Papa,” Tokito takes on the role of a father who was part of a folk band during his university days. His character will play the song in various scenes throughout the series.
