Actress Sachiko Sakurai (36) has announced that at the end of this year, she will completely retire from show business, after 20 years in the industry. Her most recent role was in the movie “Ululu no Mori no Monogatari,” which just opened in theaters on December 19.
Sakurai explained that she has had many experiences working and studying overseas, and those experiences led her to start thinking about her retirement several years ago. She said that she wants to continue learning more about the world so that she can contribute more to society. However, she did not elaborate on any specific plans for the future.
