Talento Sakura Uehara (32) announced to the press on Monday that she has divorced fashion producer Noriaki Endo (38). According to her agency, one of the things that indirectly led to the divorce was Endo’s arrest for punching a photographer this past April.
Uehara married Endo in August 2003, after starting out as good friends about three years earlier. This past April, the pair attended a wedding party for producer Masato Ochi and model Chieko Kawabe, and Endo was arrested after punching a photographer at the event. However, Uehara explained that the incident itself was not the reason for the divorce. Instead, it appears that the turning point was the period of self-imposed suspension that followed the incident, during which she spent some time reconsidering her life and decided to end the marriage.
