Skapara’s Tatsuyuki Hiyamuta leaves

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra has officially lost alto saxophonist Tatsuyuki Hiyamuta. An announcement on the band’s website on Thursday stated that Hiyamuta is leaving to focus on receiving treatment for a leg injury.

The injury happened in a car accident in 1996 when the band performed in Thailand, and he has been going through rehabilitation ever since. However, he has now decided that the injury has been too much of a hindrance for the group’s live performances. His words indicated that he hopes to resume his music career after he fully recovers.

The remaining 9 members of the band will continue their activities.
