Eiko Maeda (23), the oldest member of Nagoya-based idol group SKE48, is being transferred to the “sexy” idol group SDN48, it was announced on Sunday. Her activities with SKE48 ended the same day.
Maeda started out her career in 2002 as part of the idol group Seifuku Kojo Iinkai from 2002 to 2003, using her real name Machiko Tezuka. In 2004, she won an award in the Miss Magazine competition and became well known as a gravure idol under the name Ourei Harada. After passing the SKE48 audition in March 2009, she again changed her stage name, this time to Eiko Maeda.
