Tackey fractures nose, continues with tour

Hideaki Takizawa (of Tackey & Tsubasa) injured himself in an accident late Thursday night.

Takizawa was with friends from work when he accidentally fell down some stairs. He was taken to a hospital for examination, where he was diagnosed with a fractured nasal bone.

Tackey & Tsubasa are currently on tour until May 27. On Saturday, Takizawa reported the accident on their official website before performing at two concerts that day. “Until now, I’ve always taken the stage no matter what, so I can’t lose here,” he stated. He appeared on stage wearing a black face guard and apologized to the fans and staff. The duo completed the performances without incident.

Takizawa will continue with the tour despite the injury. It is estimated that full recovery will take one and a half months.
