Tadayoshi Okura protects airports in first starring drama role

Kanjani8 member Tadayoshi Okura (24) has been given the starring role in a new drama series coming out this fall. This will be his first time playing the lead in a TV series.

The drama is a suspense series titled “ROMES: Kuukou Bougyo System.” Okura plays a young man leading a team with expertise in state-of-the-art airport security systems. He and his team are in charge of dealing with threats such as hackers and terrorists.

Okura’s supporting cast includes Kanjani8 bandmate Shota Yasuda (24) as a member of the security team, Ryoko Kuninaka (30), and Masao Kusakari (56).

“ROMES” will air on NHK on Thursday nights at 8:00pm. Nine episodes are planned, with the first one scheduled for October 15.
