“Team Batista” drama gets SP

Next month, Fuji TV plans to broadcast a special episode for the drama series “Team Batista no Eikou,” which ran from October to December 2008. Atsushi Ito (25) and Toru Nakamura (44) will again play the lead characters, while Yu Yamada (25) is joining the cast as a nurse.

“Team Batista no Eikou” is based on the same medical mystery novel series by Takeru Kaido that led to two film adaptations starring Yuko Takeuchi and Hiroshi Abe. This upcoming special, tentatively titled “Team Batista SP ~Nightingale no Chinmoku~,” is named after the second book in the series.

Fuji TV will air the episode at 9:00pm on October 9.
