Thelma Aoyama covers Miho Nakayama for “Cafe Kichijoji” theme

R&B artist Thelma Aoyama will be providing the theme song for TV Tokyo’s live-action “Cafe Kichijoji de” series, starting on September 29. The song is a cover of the 1988 hit “You're My Only Shinin' Star,” originally sung by actress/idol Miho Nakayama.

“You’re My Only Shinin’ Star” was Nakayama’s 12th single and her second to reach #1 on the Oricon charts.

The single for Aoyama’s version is scheduled to go on sale later this year.
