Hiroshi Hamana, a member of the vocal group Masayoshi Tsuruoka & Tokyo Romantica, died in a Tokyo hospital on Saturday afternoon due to a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 59.
Hamana, whose real name was Masato Hashimoto, joined Tokyo Romantica in 1969, a couple years after their debut. He served as the group’s main vocalist for several years while Masato Sanjo (66) worked on a solo career.
