Tokyo Tower series to air in winter, Mokomichi to star

Author Lily Franky’s best-selling novel “Tokyo Tower” will be adapted into a drama series this winter. It has already been adapted into a drama special that aired on Saturday, and will also be adapted as a film that will be released next year.

The upcoming “Tokyo Tower” series will be aired on Fuji TV in the high-profile Monday 9:00pm time slot. This will be the first lead role in that time slot for Mokomichi Hayami. The primary cast will also include Mitsuko Baisho as the mother and Shigeru Izumiya as the father. The series begins airing on January 8.
