Tsumabuki appears in first play

Actor Satoshi Tsumabuki will take on his first theater role, co-starring with Ryoko Hirosue in playwright and director Hideki Noda’s “Kiru.” This is also Hirosue’s first theater appearance since her marriage in 2003.

“Kiru” is an alternate story of the Mongol leader Temujin. Hailing from the Land of Sheep, he aims to take over the world by creating his own brand of clothes that everyone will wear. As part of his conquest, he marries Silk (Hirosue) from the Land of Silk.

Other cast members include Keiko Takahashi, Katsuya Kobayashi, Masanobu Katsumura, Shoko Takada, Mariya Yamada. Performances will run from December to January at the Bunkamura Theatre Cocoon in Shibuya.
