Uniqlo collaborates with “Norwegian Wood” movie
The “Norwegian Wood” movie, starring Kenichi Matsuyama (25) and Rinko Kikuchi (29), is launching a major promotional campaign with fashion retailer Uniqlo, including collaborative T-shirts, in-store displays, and a television commercial appearance.
The collaborative T-shirts were designed by Masahiro Kakinokihara, taking inspiration from scenes in the film. There are a total of 9 designs, each priced at 1500 yen. They will go on sale starting November 23, available in store and online.
Also on November 23, two exhibits will open at the UT Store Harajuku and the Uniqlo Shibuya Dougenzaka. The two stores will showcase the clothes worn by Matsuyama and Kikuchi in the movie. Those displays are scheduled to remain up until early December.
Last but not least, supporting actress
Kiko Mizuhara (20) has been cast in a commercial for Uniqlo’s fleece line.
The “Norwegian Wood” movie opens in theaters on December 11.
