Hikaru Utada’s new song, “Kiss & Cry,” is being used in a new commercial for Nissin Cup Noodle. A 30-second version of the song will first be heard on Friday when the commercial goes on the air, and a 45-second version will be made available the same day through Chaku-Uta.
The song is Utada’s first single since the news of her divorce last month. Coincidentally, the commercial’s theme is separation, though Nissin stated that it had nothing to do with Utada’s divorce.
