Utamaru to undergo surgery

Over the weekend, Utamaru (40) of the hip-hop group RHYMESTER revealed that he is undergoing surgery this month to remove a polyp from his vocal cords.

On February 3, RHYMESTER will release “Manifesto,” their first original album in four years. They also have plans for a nationwide tour starting on April 23 and other scheduled events. As a result, Utamaru’s doctor and the group’s staff advised him to have the operation soon.

Utamaru is expected to need a week to rest after the surgery. He will be absent from his regular radio shows until he has fully recovered.
