Avex has finally opened its doors to visual-kei. At a concert on September 10 at Akasaka Blitz, the band Megamasso announced that they are now managed by Avex and will make their major debut under the label next month. They are the first visual-kei band to sign with Avex’s management division.
The band was formed in 2006 by Ryohei, the former guitarist of Ayabie. Since then, they have built their popularity as an indies band, and they have already released several singles and albums. Their first single with Avex, titled “chimes,” goes on sale October 7.
