Yoshihiko Hakamada to marry gravure idol Ai Kawanaka
Actor Yoshihiko Hakamada (37) is reportedly getting married to gravure idol Ai Kawanaka (25) on August 8. They met about two years ago through a group of mutual friends, and their friendship turned into romance this past spring.
Hakamada is said to have proposed just a month ago, and Kawanaka quickly accepted. They decided on the auspicious date of August 8 for their marriage.
Sources say that Hakamada has been telling people around him about his marriage plans. He also declared that he wants to have children as soon as possible, and that he wants to have two of them. It is not yet known whether Kawanaka plans to continue with her work.
Hakamada was recently announced as a cast member in next year’s taiga drama, “
Gou ~Himetachi no Sengoku~.” The cast and staff are already preparing for filming, which begins in September. Because of the busy schedule, Hakamada and Kawanaka will not be able to hold a wedding ceremony until there is a break in filming, so the earliest would likely be next year.
