The Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival, which was canceled last year as a result of the city’s economic collapse, is scheduled to return next March. The announcement was made on Friday by Yubari Fanta, the non-profit organization established with the goal of restoring the festival.
It was previously announced in April that preparations were being made to revive the festival. It was speculated that the event would return in February, when it has traditionally been held, but the date has been set for March 19-23.
