Yukisada leads “Parade” to Berlin

“Parade,” the new film by director Isao Yukisada, has been added to the lineup at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held on February 11-21, 2010. The movie will be screened in the Panorama section.

First announced in May, “Parade” is an adaptation of a Shuichi Yoshida novel about a group of young adults living together in a small apartment without knowing much about each other. The film stars Tatsuya Fujiwara (27), Karina (25), Shihori Kanjiya (24), Kento Hayashi (19), and Keisuke Koide (25).

This will be Yukisada’s third time at the Berlin International Film Festival, but it will be the first for the five actors. Besides Fujiwara, the four others have never attended a film festival outside Japan.

“Parade” is also scheduled to open in Japanese theaters in February.
